DESCRIPTION:All gardening books refer to the January to March period as the time to prune most of your trees and shrubs. So\, on January 4th we will hear a presentation from Jeff Dodson on Pruning. Jeff is a plant physiologist/plant pathologist by education and career. After retiring he worked at Kent's Garden and Nursery for 3 years and taught a few plant pathology classes for Cloud Mountain Nursery. He also completed the Whatcom County Master Gardener program to familiarize himself with the local flora and fauna. Come hear an enjoyable presentation on getting your trees and shrubs pruned. Please join us!!! The Birchwood Garden Club was chartered in 1931. Birchwood Garden Club membership is open to anyone in Whatcom or Skagit County. We will have membership details at our meetings\, so be sure and pick up a brochure and join!
