About Us

Ferndale Schools is comprised of two high schools, two middle schools, six elementary schools and one early learning center serving approximately 4,700 students in grades preschool through twelve.

In partnership with parents and our community, the district will educate each student to develop the knowledge, skills and character necessary to lead a self-reliant, socially responsible life. The District is committed to having community members, staff and students work together to accomplish this mission.

Ferndale School District is located in Northwest Washington. The hub of the district is the town of Ferndale, located 10 miles north of Bellingham, 100 miles north of Seattle and 40 miles south of Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Mount Baker and the Georgia Strait’s San Juan Islands make this an area of unparalleled natural beauty.
