Join us for an evening with Water Wars (how to avoid), a community storytelling project about the Nooksack River and the people working together to care for it. As winter flows surge, summer flows dwindle, and water rights adjudication raises the stakes for everyone who depends on the river, tribal fishers, farmers, and civic leaders are choosing to sit down with one another rather than retreat to sides. Over two hours, we'll screen short films from the project, paired with reflections and visions from our team and community members. They'll share what we've learned so far and where watershed collaboration in Whatcom County could go next. Come listen, reflect, and help write the next chapter for this watershed. Hosted in partnership with the Whatcom Museum and the Whatcom County Library System.
