Volunteer Mobilization Center, part of the Ferndale Community Service Cooperation is hosting "Living in the Shadow of an Active Volcano". The program includes speakers from USGS, WWA Dept of Geology, and Whatcom Sheriff's Office Division of Emergency Mgmt. We will discuss the geological features of Mt. Baker, on-going monitoring, lahars, flooding, and financial impacts.
