Level Up Luncheon

The Ferndale Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce our newest program, Level Up Luncheon: Empowering & Engaging Women of Whatcom Chambers.  This program has evolved from our previous program Leading Ladies and will offer the women of ALL Whatcom County Chambers the opportunity to come together, to empower and engage one another.
 
It is our hope to create space to discuss the unique issues that face women in business today.  Offering the opportunity to learn from one another, and further community collaboration.
 
Our first speaker has a professional career working with marginalized communities, Dr. Janis Velasquez Farmer supports equity and education dialogue with community, education, and business leaders.  Creatively infusing the concept of critical hope, she highlights artful navigation of systemic barriers as access points for development and change.
 
Janis holds a BA in Business Administration-Marketing, an MEd in Adult Education, and MEd in Organizational Development and Change, and a PhD in Human Development.  She is the founder and Principal Designer of Emerge Strategic Designs, an organizational equity firm, and the Director of Intercultural Services at Whatcom Community College. 
 
Join us for our new, Level Up Luncheons, held quarterly at the Loomis Trail Golf Club in Northern Whatcom County, with the first luncheon on January 29^th from 11:45 – 1:00 pm. The cost for entry is $35, which includes the presentation from the speaker as well as a buffet lunch, catered by the Silver Reef Casino Resort.
