Power Hour featuring John Michener with the Port of Bellingham

Please join us Thursday, June 8th, for a presentation on Economic Development with John Michener, Economic Development Project Manager with the Port of Bellingham. John's presentation will cover why the Port of Bellingham is involved in economic development and what does it look like here in Whatcom County. 

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Washington and is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD). As an Economic Development Project Manager with the Port of Bellingham, John's responsibilities include: Retention and Expansion, Recruitment/Attraction and working with local jurisdictions to ensure Whatcom County has the assets and capacity needed to meet its strategic goals. John also administers a federal loan program and Foreign Trade Zone #129 which encompasses all of Whatcom County.
