Whatcom Food Network's Fall Forum: The State of Farmland
Whatcom Food Network's Fall Forum: The State of Farmland Please join us for our second and final Forum of 2017! We will be learning about the state of farmland here in Whatcom County, networking, digging into the new update of the Whatcom Community Food Assessment and debuting our new website. Our keynote speaker will be Hannah Clark, the Executive Director of the Washington Association of Land Trusts. She currently works to provide a unified voice for Washington's 28 local land trusts in policy and advocacy and to strengthen private voluntary land conservation across the state. Hannah, along with Chris Elder from the Whatcom County Planning Department will illuminate current challenges and opportunities both in our region and locally, in Whatcom. Their presentation will be followed by a panel discussion to learn more from those actually farming or working with these issues on a daily basis. It's going to be a full Forum and an exciting day, we hope you can join us! Snacks and beverages provided, this event is FREE but please RSVP as space is limited. Thank you to the Whatcom Community Foundation for making these events possible.
